After an almost 50 year layoff, I started writing about movies again in 2023. This is the place for reviews and essays, about movies and other topics.
I’m a fiction writer these days, mostly, and also the former co-editor/co-publisher of Frighten the Horses, a zine about sex and politics that I put out with Cris Gutierrez in 1990-94. Among the writers we published were Kim Addonizio, Alexander Chee, Carol Queen, Brian Bouldrey, Tanya Dewhurst, Marilyn Jaye Lewis, Patrick (then Pat) Califia, and many others.
